Southern summer greetings, y'all. As the season of COVID-19 continues to keep our interactions to a minimum, we wanted to update you on several things the Lord has been doing and preparing for us to do.
"When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish." Luke 5:4
Deep Water Discipleship
We can't wait to get back in the Word with y'all! The next Red Print Bible study is entitled "IF you would be My disciple". We will begin meeting virtually by zoom on Thursdays beginning September 17 - November 19. The study will be offered at 9:30-11:00 am and at 6:00-7:30pm. Our prayer is we'll be able to meet in-person at some point.
The focus this season is what Jesus has to say about how we are to live as his followers, walking the walk! Email us at info@nbisc.org to register.
Friendship Place in Georgetown
Meet our friend "Duckie." Friendship Place director Charlie Ball got Duckie to share a message about him missing our being able to pray with guests at lunch at Friendship Place. Well, the good news is we will back praying on August 26, safely distanced at tables outside with our friends who come to pick up a lunch. We've seen the Lord work mightily in the lives of those prayed for and for those of us privileged to pray with them. Contact Kelly Brinson, Friendship Place Administrator at kbrinson@friendshipplaceinc.org if you'd like her to email you the forms so you can register as a Friendship Place volunteer. https:friendshipplaceinc.org
